December 1, 2023
Hilary Farr, known for her sassy and sophisticated demeanor, is leaving HGTV’s “Love It or List It” after 17 seasons. Farr and real estate agent David Visentin have led the show since 2011, with Visentin expected to continue. “It’s been a wonderful 12 years. I’m so grateful to the network for their support and to my fans who have stayed loyal and true,” Farr said in a statement. On the home makeover-real estate series, they competed to help owners decide whether to sell or renovate their homes. The show’s 17th season drew 24 million viewers. “’Love It or List It’ has had such a true impact on so many lives, including mine, but now it’s time for me to embrace new challenges that have come my way,” Farr said. HGTV’s content chief Loren Ruch shared that it has “been a joy working with Hilary for over a decade, showcasing her quick wit and ever-present charm in each episode,” and the network looks forward to a new chapter for the show. In addition to “Love or List It,” Farr hosted her own HGTV series, “Tough Love with Hilary Farr,” which recently aired its second season. Farr did not specify what opportunities may be next.
