Allegations Against American Flight Attendant for Allegedly Recording Teen in Bathroom

The family of a North Carolina teenager is suing American Airlines, alleging that a flight attendant taped an iPhone to an airplane toilet to record her. The family is seeking damages for the teenager, who is undergoing therapy to deal with the traumatic experience. American Airlines stated that they are cooperating with law enforcement in the investigation and that the accused flight attendant has not worked for the company since the incident. The incident occurred on a flight from Charlotte to Boston when the teenager was directed to use a different restroom in first-class, where the flight attendant allegedly entered before her and later claimed the toilet seat was broken. The teenager discovered the taped iPhone after using the restroom and took a photo of it. The lawsuit was filed in U.S. district court in North Carolina.
