Dolphins Dominate Jets in Historic NFL Black Friday Matchup

The Dolphins (8-3) defeated the Jets (4-7), 34-13, in the NFL’s first Black Friday game at MetLife Stadium. Starting quarterback Tim Boyle struggled in his first start of the season, throwing a Hail Mary interception that led to a pick-six for the Dolphins. Boyle was replacing Zach Wilson, who had started the previous nine games.

Despite a late offensive touchdown, the Jets struggled to move the ball and convert third downs throughout the game. Boyle finished with one touchdown and two interceptions, and the Jets failed to get much going offensively. The defense did a good job containing the Dolphins’ high-powered offense, but ultimately couldn’t stop Tua Tagovailoa and his receivers.

The Jets will look to regroup and return to action on Dec. 3 when they play the Falcons at home. The Dolphins will continue their road trip and play the Commanders.
