Deadly Shooting in Harlem: Another Violent Incident Erupts at NYC Smoke Shops
November 16, 2023
A man was shot to death outside a Harlem smoke shop on W. 116th St. near Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd. just after 9:05 p.m., cops said. A cab driver who stopped at the shop walked out as the gunman was firing shots at the victim, whom cops described as a man in his thirties. Police responding to a 911 call found the victim lying on the pavement with numerous gunshot wounds to his torso and legs. Medics took him to nearby Mount Sinai Morningside, but he could not be saved. Last week, a Bronx weed store co-owner fatally shot a would-be robber. He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and other crimes.
