TikTok Star Cooper Noriega’s Overdose Death Leads to Arrest
November 23, 2023
The arrest of a California man accused of selling drugs that led to the overdose death of TikTok star Cooper Noriega has been reported by TMZ. Erick Oved Estrada allegedly trafficked in cocaine and fentanyl-laced pills from his Calabasas home. He reportedly sold the fentanyl-laced pills to Arian Alani, who then sold them to Noriega. Noriega was found dead in a Burbank mall parking lot in June 2022, with his cause of death ruled as an accidental overdose. Prosecutors allege that both Estrada and Alani have been charged with distribution of fentanyl resulting in death, which carries a possible penalty of up to life in prison with no chance for parole. Cooper Noriega’s father, Harold Noriega, expressed his satisfaction with the arrests on social media. The arrest comes after the overdose death of Robert De Niro’s grandson, Leandro De Niro Rodriguez, for which the woman who allegedly sold him the drugs was charged with distributing narcotics.
