December 5, 2023A Long Island school bus driver has been indicted on charges that he raped one of his student passengers, authorities announced Monday. Giovanny Campos, 50, is accused of raping a high school girl multiple times between January and July of this year, while driving his bus route in the Valley Stream school district. Prosecutors said that Campos raped the girl on the bus and at his apartment, and he has been charged with second-degree kidnapping, third-degree rape, two counts of criminal sex acts, and one count of misdemeanor reckless endangerment. Campos pleaded not guilty and his bail was set at $150,000 cash. He is due back in court on Dec. 12.
