Hate Crimes Surge: Bronx Autism School Targeted by Vandal’s Swastika Graffiti

The NYPD is seeking information about a suspect who vandalized a Bronx school for autistic students with swastikas and the letter “K.” The incident, which was caught on surveillance camera, occurred on Oct. 26 at the Autism Care Partners building on Jerome Ave. in University Heights. The defacement comes amid a spike in hate crimes against Jews in New York City, with attacks increasing by 214% since the start of the Israeli-Hamas conflict in Gaza. The NYPD released surveillance images of the suspect, described as a white male in his 50s with gray hair, and is asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
