Bills Dominate Jets in Rematch Showdown

Robert Saleh says the Jets’ defense has had a tough time against top quarterbacks this season. But in Sunday’s 32-6 loss to the Bills, it was the Jets who were embarrassed, hardly anything went right for them and Buffalo’s offense was the catalyst for the win with 155 yards of total offense.

The Bills scored over 25 points for the first time since its 37-3 win against the Commanders in Week 3. They also forced four turnovers with cornerback Rasul Douglas registering two of them [an interception and a fumble recovery]. Zach Wilson completed 9 of 22 passes for 113 yards, one touchdown, and one interception before being benched for Tim Boyle.

It was apparent Saleh had had enough and decided to bench Wilson. After the game, Saleh said he will watch the film from Sunday’s game and decide the starting quarterback for the next game. “I don’t know what I expect,” Wilson said. “The Jets extended their streak to 12 quarters without a touchdown before Breece Hall’s TD. Quintin Morris recovered the ball for the Bills and they got three points off the turnover. Wilson also threw an interception in the second quarter to Douglas.

Without Becton, the Jets offensive line was dreadful. Buffalo registered six sacks and the Jets quarterbacks were under pressure the entire game. After the game, the Jets and Bills players got into a fight in the tunnel. Jets defensive end Micheal Clemons and Bills tackle Dion Dawkins had to be separated.

The Jets return to the field to play the Dolphins in the first NFL Black Friday game on Nov. 24. The Bills will be on the road against the Eagles next Sunday.
