Voicing Resistance Against Antisemitism: Former Newsman’s Perspective

For 30 years, I was a reporter, nearly 11 of which were spent at this publication. Personal beliefs never entered my coverage. I retired almost five years ago and needed time to adjust. When Roe v. Wade was overturned, my family participated in a rally, and I realized I too needed to take a stand. Hate is pervasive, and we must push back against it. Since the Hamas attack on Israel, antisemitism has flourished. Regardless of one’s views on Israel’s policy, the attack must be condemned. Recently, pro-Palestine protestors disrupted a non-political event for charity. I cannot remain silent. History has shown the danger of silence.
