Violent Attacks in Times Square and Manhattan Park Leave Teens Injured
November 17, 2023A 15-year-old boy was stabbed in Times Square moments after two men were knifed in a park in Manhattan. The teenager was riding a scooter when he collided with a vendor selling tour bus tickets on Thursday evening. An argument ensued between the teen, three of his friends, and the vendor. The teenager was stabbed in the neck while trying to leave on his scooter. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, and four people were taken into custody at the scene.
At the same time, two men were also attacked and headed to the hospital after a stabbing in a park on the Lower East Side. The victims had gotten into a fight with four other men in Sara D. Roosevelt Park, and one of the attackers stabbed both men. One of the injured men was in critical condition and the other victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital. The park is known for issues related to drug dealing, drug usage, and homeless encampments. No arrests were made in either incident.
