Tragic Discovery: Woman’s Body Uncovered in Upscale Chelsea Condominiums

On Friday, a woman’s body was found in the basement of a luxury condo building near the High Line in Manhattan, as per the police. The woman was discovered by officers responding to a 911 call at 540 W. 28th St. in Chelsea. A worker at the building found the woman’s body in a trash compactor. The woman was seen entering the building on Thursday night and may have been intoxicated, according to a police source. The woman did not live in the building. The rents for one-bedroom apartments at +art were listed for $5,500 a month, and there are also condos for sale at the building. The woman found in the basement was pronounced dead at the scene. The city Medical Examiner will determine a cause of death.
