Stranger asks for the time, then slashes NYC subway rider with boxcutter

A stranger slashes a Brooklyn subway rider across the neck with a boxcutter after innocently asking for the time. The attacker then flees as the train arrives at the Livonia Ave. station. The victim sustains a minor injury, but his friend is unharmed. The NYPD asks for the public’s help in identifying the suspect, who is described as a 25-year-old, 5-foot-10, 170-pound man wearing a black durag, purple hoodie with white lettering, and a dark-colored backpack.
