NYPD Arrests Woman for Assault at Pro-Palestinian RallyNovember 16, 2023
A woman arrested for slapping a man and a 15-year-old boy during a pro-Palestinian march on the Brooklyn Bridge last month. Eden Atias, 31, was taken into custody Wednesday for the Oct. 28 caught-on-camera confrontation where she screamed, “F–k Palestine!” A 31-year-old man and teen were walking along the footpath while a sea of protestors shut down Manhattan-bound traffic. Atias approached a group of people the victims were with and started shouting at them as a young girl clung to a woman and cried, video posted to social media shows. Ramzy Abdelaal, 19, a pro-Palestinian protester from New Jersey, said, “I saw her hitting the mother of the little girl … physically grabbing her and pushing her around,” He added that Atias “grabbed my phone and started screaming at everyone to stop recording. She then got in our faces and then slapped my brother — who is 15 years old.” Atias, of Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn, was charged with aggravated harassment, grand larceny, and endangering the welfare of a child.
