Nets’ Big-Three Era: Kyrie Irving’s Lost Love

Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and James Harden teamed up with the hopes of bringing a championship to Brooklyn, but appeared in only 16 games together and won one playoff series. Irving missed much of the 2021-22 season after declining to meet New York City’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate. Harden was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in February 2022, and Irving and Durant were also traded last February. Durant said the Nets “refused to get rid of me” months before trading him to Phoenix.
