Thousands protested antisemitism in London. The event, following a pro-Palestine march, was attended by former U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson and other notable figures. The march was described by organizers as the largest demonstration in support of Jews since 1936. Of the two individuals arrested at the event, one was far-right figure Tommy Robinson. British Jews expressed fear due to pro-Palestine events and described central London as a “no-go zone” for Jews. The last time a similar demonstration occurred in London was in 1936 during the Battle of Cable Street.
