First Lady Jill Biden’s Spectacular White House Holiday Decor
November 28, 2023
First Lady Jill Biden revealed this year’s White House holiday decorations with the theme “Magic, Wonder and Joy” for 2023. The decorations aim to inspire visitors to embrace the festivities and delight in the magic of the season, capturing the pure and unfiltered imagination of children. Each room in the display is designed to indulge visitors’ senses and allow them to see the holidays through the wondrous and sparkling eyes of children. The Grand Foyer is full of Christmas trees and villages, and the White House Library is set up for bedtime stories. The China room is transformed into a sweet shop, and there are homages to “The Night Before Christmas” throughout the decorations. National Guard families were the first to view the holiday extravaganza, and a special performance of “Frozen” was also arranged. The display is expected to attract about 100,000 visitors this holiday season. The decorations also include a Christmas tree adorned with gold star ornaments engraved with the names of fallen service members.
