Fatal Shark Attack: Boston Woman Attacked While Paddleboarding in Bahamas

A 44-year-old Boston woman died in a shark attack while paddleboarding in the Bahamas, authorities revealed Monday. The victim, who was not named, was on vacation with a male relative at a resort in western New Providence when the attack occurred. The resort lifeguard responded, retrieved the victim and the male relative from the water, and administered CPR, but the woman did not have any vital signs. According to a local jet ski operator, the duo was paddleboarding together when the woman vanished, and the man began screaming for help. The attack took place about three quarters of a mile offshore near the Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort in Cable Beach. The resort extended condolences to the victim’s family and loved ones.
