Dennis Smith Jr. ruled out with back injury for game against 76ersNovember 19, 2023
The Nets’ Dennis Smith Jr. was ruled out with a lower back sprain before Sunday’s game against the 76ers. Smith practiced Saturday, but reported that he wasn’t feeling well afterwards. The 25-year-old had been receiving more playing time recently. The Nets were also without Cam Thomas who had a sprained ankle. Smith has been recording at least five assists in each of his last five appearances. The Nets expect to provide an update soon on Thomas’ ankle injury. Kelly Oubre, one of the 76ers’ best players, also missed the game due to an alleged incident where he was hit by a vehicle.
